Tales the Trees Told Me Is an act of quiet rebellion against the relentless information streams that stir outrage, grief, division and fear. In a noisy world, this work invites us to pause - to notice the joy, beauty, and hope found in nature. In this exhibition, Shlomit presents a new direction in her practice. Alongside her signature large-scale sculptures, she introduces delicate, small-scale carvings inspired by the community whittling workshops she has led across Victoria - including with rural communities and people recovering from natural disasters. “Carving in miniature teaches us to slow down and pay attention. Every tiny cut makes a difference. It’s a mindful, healing practice - and a way of telling new stories.” | ||
